My dear friends in the US!

You are the ones in the US with whom I dare to talk politics – and you are a small minority of people I know in the US. You are also the ones I trust and therefore I am addressing this mail to you.

I have learnt that it is not common in the US to talk about politics with friends and family. Thankfully, although all of you are my friends and family, I know that you accept that we talk about politics even when we do not always share the same opinion.

I want to talk about the coming elections. It seems that there is quite some chance that there will be another Republican era – and I assume that all of you see some probability in this, too.

I suppose one could say that if this happens, it happens and we just have to accept it. I don’t agree. In fact I think it is important that we, and especially you who live in the US, do not see this as a probable outcome. I suggest that you do EVERYTHING YOU CAN do help the Democrats win the elections. This means that you – from today or tomorrow onwards – need to become a political activist in the most daring and effective way you can.

Why I am telling you this? Because this was the attitude among democrats, liberals, social democrats, communists, pacifists, Christians and Jews in Germany before Hitler took over: that life would go on. Well, yes, life will go on – but it will also change radically. Please think about what Palin stands for: Obedience.

You must DARE NOW NOT TO BE OBEDIENT. If you don’t, you might not have the chance to do that much longer. There will be a different wind blowing in order to DRILL for DRILL.

If the Clintons, Gore, Obama and many others including yourselves work TOGETHER there can be change. Even if all the politicians just mentioned are on the payroll of the CIA it will still be better to at least HAVE TRIED to prevent the continuation of current politics. Such politics will lead to more hunger, more pain and more war. More war is too much for this planet. It will become too hot. In lots of different ways.

If you need help from Germany or the rest of the world, let us know. The vast majority of the rest of the world is in favour of a Democrat victory! And we are ready to help you.

Man’s work

detailed knowledge

      of rejection?

Hitler we’ve had
German preacher
self-styled superstar

      Have we not had enough
      of egotism?

madly in love

      Can we afford another term

The earth suffers
People starve
Amongst abundance

      Do we not have enough
      for everybody?

It is hard
to seek the knowledge
for true compassion

It is exhausting
to think matters through

      But

It is rewarding
to open your eyes
to listen, to think

It is possible
to stop those who believe
prayer confers the right
to take what they will

It is not too late
to speak up and to work
in unison
